Meeting over a love of electronic music in Manchester in the early noughties, Longy and Sean became regular faces at Sankeys Soap (as it was then). Already keen DJs, the duo went on to put on their own night "Jumbo Shebang" at what is now Joshua Brooks.
The fun was short lived as Longy returned to Birmingham, but the pair stayed in contact for the next few years including a yearly summer Ibiza pilgrimage. They later added winter trips to Berlin and the experiences of the old East Berlin environment, the DIY nature of the scene in Germany and of course the music reignited that desire to reunite behind the decks once more - and SHUMBO JEBANG was born!
Now, as founder members of the Underground Kollektiv, the duo continue with an unquenchable thirst for electronic music from the past and the present. Longy and Sean pride themselves on a deep knowledge of the scene to deliver high quality sets covering a variety of genres across the house andtechno spectrum, but with a firm Germanic influence and a mantra that no great record ever gets old.
